I have a bunch of yearling baby fig trees growing in air pots. These pots have holes in them to allow for root formation but I have a hunch it also makes them more susceptible to the cold. I could be wrong about that, but just in case I wanted to go out of my way to give them a little shelter.
I cleared out one of my raised beds and we attached some pvc pipes to make a hoop house. I snuggled all the pots in there (all 14 of them) and we covered them with garden cloth. That will protect them for a few degrees worth and keep the frost off them. I'll do this when it snows or does other yucky cold things. Probably overkill, but whatever. I don't want them to die.
A few other frosty pics - my thyme growing along my flagstone path. A bunch of it died and I'm not sure why. I think the dogs may have killed it by pottying near it. Anyway, this is the living side of the path.
Some ground cover I have called 'Brass Buttons'. I have it growing in a container. Evergreen and gorgeous. Spread and filled in nicely.
